I can't believe it is 2010...where did the last 10 years go? It seems like just the other day Ryan and I were in San Diego celebrating New Year's 2000. Now here we are 10 years and two children later. Crazy! When they say time flies, they aren't kidding! I'm glad to say goodbye to 2009. It was a year full of challenges. Ryan spent 7 months of the year on deployment (6 of which he was in Iraq). There was an unexpected bright spot to this deployment. He was sent to Sicily for the last month and I got to fly over to visit him for a week. It was a wonderful experience...so much fun!
I'm excited to see what this new year has in store for us. I'm going back to school to finish up my MBA and Ryan has four years left in the Navy. The countdown has begun. Madelyn is almost 7 years old and is in 1st grade. She's doing amazing and learning so much. She's having fun in ballet and Girl Scouts. Jillian is almost 4 and ready to take on the world. She is just like her Daddy in so many ways. Her favorite toy is her toolbox from Grandpa. She loves to take apart broken toys and try to fix them. They are such great girls. We are truly blessed!
